Google API Data

Only authenticated StockInvestor.us administrators may authorize the Service to access the site's Google Analytics and Google Search Console accounts. This administrator-only integration is separate from the public Google sign-in option.

Data accessed and how it is used

  • Google Analytics: We use the read-only Analytics scope to retrieve aggregate reports for the connected GA4 property, including active users, sessions, page views, and page paths. This information is displayed only in the authenticated administration console to measure and improve the Service.
  • Google Search Console: We use Search Console access only for the verified StockInvestor.us property to submit generated XML sitemaps and display whether Google accepted each submission.

We request these permissions only when an administrator starts the Google connection and affirmatively grants access through Google's OAuth consent flow.

Storage, security, and retention

OAuth client credentials and the refresh token are stored in protected server-side environment configuration and are never exposed to site visitors or browser-side code. Google Analytics report results are processed for the requested admin page and are not written to the Service's application database. Operational logs may retain sitemap submission status and error diagnostics, but not Google Analytics report contents.

OAuth credentials are retained only while the administrator connection is enabled or as needed to provide these features. An administrator may revoke access at any time from their Google Account permissions, and may request deletion of stored credentials by contacting support@stockinvestor.us.

Sharing and prohibited uses

We do not sell Google API data or share it with advertisers or unrelated third parties. We do not use Google API data for advertising, retargeting, credit or lending decisions, or training generalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models. Google API data is used only to provide the administrator-facing Analytics and sitemap features described above.

StockInvestor.us's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
